Description

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. — Psalm 121:1

Scripture happens somewhere. Every encounter with God in the Bible has a landscape underneath it — a garden, a wilderness, a shoreline, a mountain — and this book follows all four.

Forty intricate designs trace the sacred geography of Scripture, from the garden where God first walked with us to the mountain where Christ was taken up into heaven:

• Gardens — Eden, Gethsemane, the resurrection garden, the true Vine
• Deserts — the burning bush, manna from heaven, Elijah fed by the angel, the wilderness temptation
• Shores — the calling of the disciples, walking on water, the calming of the storm, the Red Sea divided
• Mountains — Sinai, the Transfiguration, the Sermon on the Mount, the Ascension
