Dear friends,
When I set out to paint and write poems through the Bible for the Poems & Pictures series, I always imagined the books as a journey you could walk through — stepping from the garden of Genesis, through the wilderness of Exodus, beside the still waters of the Psalms, along the dusty roads of the Gospels, and all the way to the tree-lined river of Revelation.
Today, that journey is a place you can actually visit.

What It Is
The Pilgrim Walk is a browser-based 3D world built from all 1,677 paintings and poems across 44 districts in biblical order. Walking down each book’s lane, you can pause before every painting, read or listen to its poem and Scripture, and kindle hidden Sanctuary Lights along the path.
Across the 44 books, 176 paintings open up as full step-through 3D scenes — allowing you to step through the frame and stand inside the artwork itself, accompanied by custom ambient soundscapes and 53 sculpted relics from Scripture.
Three Ways to Walk
- Story Walk: The guided pilgrimage. Districts unlock in order as you kindle their Lights and pass through each book’s Amen Gate, placing its finished cover on your Gatehouse Shelf.
- Free Walk: Every district is unlocked from the start so you can wander straight to any book of the Bible without tracking pressure.
- Daily Walk: One painting a day, in route order, with its poem, Scripture, and a one-line reflection prompt. Your Daily Walk candle never resets or punishes you if you miss a day — it simply waits for you to return.
A Note for Returning Visitors (Carrying Your Progress to Our New Fast Address)
We’ve moved The Pilgrim Walk to a faster global home on Cloudflare (https://pilgrim-walk-game.pages.dev/). Because progress is saved locally in your browser, if you already started walking on our earlier GitHub address (https://drtimotheus.github.io/pilgrim-walk-game/), just open that earlier link once, click 🔑 Save Code (PW1) in the top bar (or on the bottom banner) to copy your code, and import it at the new address. All of your kindled Lights, completed books, and Daily Walk progress will carry right over.
This is a devotional walk through the Bible’s story in pictures, not a speedrun. Take a district at a time, and let the paintings — and the poems and Scriptures that travel with them — do the talking.
Grace and peace,
Timothy Holt
