This volume brings together Books Three and Four of the Psalter. Book Three begins with a man nearly losing his faith until he walks into God’s house, and holds the darkest psalm in the Bible. Book Four opens with Moses’s prayer about numbering our days and rises into songs where rivers clap and trees sing.

The volume answers them one at a time, thirty-four short poems in four parts, each beside a picture and under a single line from the psalm it answers. It follows Planted by the Water and As the Deer.
